01 General Usage Instructions

1Locate the Ribbon Tab: Open Navisworks and navigate to the CoordinateForge tab on the main ribbon.

2Configure Point Format: Before importing, use the Format Select split button to preselect the coordinate order of your source file. Available formats include PNEZD, PENZD, NEZ, and ENZ. The plugin will persist this selection.

3Import Your Data: Click the Import CSV button. In the file dialog, select the appropriate
.csvfile. The plugin will generate an optimized.nwcfile and append it to your active document. -
4Navigate and Inspect Points: Use the Selection Tree to see the new model entry. Data is organized into:
- CSV Points: Raw 3D data points.
- Point Targets: Visual 3D reticles.
- Point Labels: Text labels for IDs and descriptions.

5Toggle Visual Aids: Use the Show Targets button to enable or disable visibility of reticles and labels.

6Adjusting Units: The default unit is Meters. To change: Right-click model > File Units and Transform > Adjust Units (e.g., Meters to Feet).

Point format requirements:
.CSV(comma separated value) file-
Column order must be one of:
- PNEZD Point_name, Northing, Easting, Elevation, Description
- PENZD Point_name, Easting, Northing, Elevation, Description
- NEZ Northing, Easting, Elevation
- ENZ Easting, Northing, Elevation
03 Known Issues
- Jittery target rendering when points are far apart (millions of units).
- Target toggle slow to activate/unactivate in very large models.
- Point names and descriptions won't append if 'Show Target' is disabled during import.
